I got this mat to cover the floor space in the lower level of my townhouse, which I have set up as a workout space. My workouts involve a TRX, a Bowflex bench with dumbbells, plus band and bodyweight exercises. This mat has proven to be perfect for all of these. I wear shoes for many of the exercises, but not all. Either way, the mat works. It's on a hardwood floor and doesn't slip a bit. The only thing even remotely approaching a drawback is that it does act a bit like a magnet for my German Shepherd's hair! Whatever...easily taken care of with a quick tape-rolling or vacuuming. I am very thankful for this mat and glad I got it instead of mat tiles, which is what I'd thought to get before I saw this mat. I would highly recommend.
