I didn't really expect this little device to do such a good job, but it does.I'm a blonde with medium-tone skin. The reviews were half-and-half about this working for my skin tone, but based on laser removal coloring charts, I decided I had a chance of this working.After four treatments on my legs, the hair growth has slowed and lessened. I'm sorry not to provide pics, I was mid-house-move when I started this. But, I would normally need to shave every three days and now I don't have stubble for nearly a week. Plus, my skin feels really smooth. I've kind of gotten weird about sweeping my hand up my leg and brushing across my knees. It feels good. Comforting? Zen? I don't know. It just feels good. Sorry, I digress.I've used this on my armpits and face as well. The armpits are smooth, too. The facial hair is mixed so far. Apparently, I've got some stubborn hag hairs. I'm gonna keep zapping them, though.My only complaint is, this is somewhat time-consuming, because this unit gets hot fast. I have to do ten minutes or so of zapping (actually, it's not a zap. It's a flash. It's light, not a shock.) and then I have to stop, actually unplug the unit, and let it cool down for half an hour before continuing. Otherwise, there's some pain with each hot flash. So, the company could do some work to upgrade their cooling system. The way it is, it takes me two-three hours. Now, that's including the cooling time, so you're not at it for that time period.All-in-all, I recommend this product. It takes a bit of time, but to me it's worth it not to have to shave so often, and hopefully, less and less. Plus...there's that good, smooth feeling!I purchased this product 3 months ago and wanted to give it a fair shot before writing a review....After using for three months as instructed in the manual, I have to say I am impressed. I used this on my legs and after the first few sessions your hair will grow back but the IPL will slow the growth. The first three sessions I was growing thin hairs after 11 days and my hair was growing in patches as some areas didn’t grow hair back. After about 6 sessions as directed, I have now gone one month without shaving and still no hair growth. The down fall to this, I have been using it on my underarms also (7 sessions), where my hair is thicker, and I have seen very little to no difference. If you are a person with thicker hair, I would NOT recommend this product. This product works amazing if you hair is thin, however not great in areas/ people with thick hair. The key is to follow the guide and use as directed!!! If you skip sessions don’t expect to see great results.If you're interested in trying IPL, definitely do your research and make sure you are a good candidate for it. (You need some contrast between your skin and hair color.) This product is a good price point and does all that you can ever ask of any IPL device, although I haven't yet figured out how to do the automatic setting. My hair growth has thinned and slowed over months of consistent IPL therapy, but by no means did it mean that I got to forego shaving/waxing/sugaring/something if I wanted truly smooth legs. Sad, but I don't think it is the product's fault. The results from the IPL have made me more willing in daily life to throw on a skirt or shorts even if I haven't shaved in awhile. It won't be quite as blatantly obvious that (gasp) I'm a mammal.I ordered this mid-Nov. and its now mid-Feb. This device does work, but you have to be good about continually using it or the hair will return. I also noticed I have to use the highest setting or it won't work which does worry me about what its doing to my skin. The device will get HOT so I have to use it in increments and then let it cool down. Flashes of light are bright- be careful. I will be interested to see what the long term uses will do. Overall, I'm glad to see it does affect my hair growth, but I have set phone reminders every 2 weeks to be strict about remembering to use it- if not using it more than that.I have been using this per directions (that I had to email to get) and I still have to shave daily. I have fair skin and dark hairs - perfect per their instructions, but nothing. I have been using it on my legs, bikini line, and armpits. What a waste of $100 :-( Wish I could return it but it's only a 30-day window, and per their instructions, it takes longer than 30-days to see results (if any).Update: seller reached out and offered a refund and suggested that I start using it 2x per week rather than the once every other week as the directions state. We'll see if that makes a difference... Did like that they reached out :-)I have the perfect complexion for this product: light skin, dark hair. I did the 8 week program perfectly on the highest setting. I'd say I have about 30% less hair now and it looks kinda splotchy. It worked but not as well as I had hoped, also I takes like an hour per treatment, it's very time consuming.
