After having increasing difficulty in cleaning print heads in my HP Photosmart B9180, I replaced all four print heads and it is like a new printer. Even with occasional use that leaves it idle for a few days, prints are perfect and the heads never need cleaning.The print heads have their price, but it is far less than a new 8-ink or 10-ink printer, and that's just about what you get with new print heads.Replace them all at once because the print heads automatically realign and recalibrate when the printer sees that you change one. And several of the items were years over the expiry date. But did work....Pending customer orders made this important supply urgent. After waiting two weeks, the crumpled box arrived with an expiration date from the prior year. Yes, expired cartridges can be used but they shouldn't be sold as new.
