It's a rowing machine, and I use it for that. As another reviewer pointed out, it does sit on the ground, so keep that in mind if you are looking to purchase. Otherwise, it's a good beginner rowing machine, for a reasonable price.Fairly well designed unit, shocks are well tuned, packed well, easy assembly. I think if you are on the shorter side the arms might be a bit long. One thing, the seat could use better padding.Very light weight, easy to assemble. Has a good range of motion. My only complaint is that it came boxed with broken tensions knobs.For The Price It was Worth It! Only Reason I Couldn't Give It A 5 Star is, Because The Main Middle Frame bar Could be about 7-10 inches longer Because I'm around 5'9 and when doing a full motion Row The Bottom Hits The Back and it can be annoying and even though if you improvise it'll work for a good Leg, Core And Arms Workout Better Than The More Expensive Row Machines!
